Some time in the sixteenth century a king had three wives and an additional 365 not wives. After taking 12 years to build a city from scratch, he and his entourage lived there for a bit and then promptly ran out of water. In a massive courtyard elephants used to execute prisoners by stepping on their heads. That was the kids favourite bit.
